How OLD is your SOUL? Take the Test and Find out!

If you're an old soul you will undoubtedly be giving, caring loving and compassionate - all wonderful attributes that we are taught are the signs of a developed person who cares for others, and the actions that we take that may affect others.

The key signs of an old soul;

  • Giving and caring often putting others first
  • Had a difficult romantic life often with much pain and disappointment
  • More than likely had a soulmate relationship
  • Things just seem to happen to you and around you, often becoming very dramatic through the seemingly extreme reactions of others
  • Events repeat themselves
  • Have trouble connecting with your family
  • Somehow know you're different
  • Have some psychic intuition and 'just knowing' things
  • Find that you have deeper emotions and passions than most people
  • People have extreme reactions to you - some just adore you and some seem to really dislike you yet you behave the same to everyone
  • Have an inner creative passion
  • Suffer lots of jealousy
  • Often perceived wrongly
  • Feel your don't have much free will, like your life is being controlled by some outside force
  • Often feel 'stuck' like events just keep on happening to you time after time

All of us can relate to some of these characteristics and events at some time in our lives however the 'old souls' amongst us will shout "Yes that's me !"and immediately understand and relate.

In contrast, we have all met the 'young souls' the ones who profess to be giving and caring and often seem to seek us out, but who never really give, just take, and who then commit the most insensitive and often cruel acts but seem to have no understanding of what they've done or any sign of remorse whatsoever. In fact they can often go to such extremes to get very aggressive when we point out their actions and the effect that they've had on us..

Soul Age

The terms 'old soul' and 'young soul' aren't just descriptions of personality types but do give us a meaningful clue to why we find ourselves in this life cycle…

The journey of the soul through many lives is one of growth and learning; from the earliest manifestation of that soul in human form - where it's focused on material things, power, ego and the "now", eventually through to the higher levels of compassion, truth, destiny, caring and fairness in later lives as old souls.

The soul is required to visit human form many times in order to learn these lessons. It is through interaction with others on the three dimensional plane that the soul accrues karma, the results of its actions on others and paying the price of those actions ( first rule of karma "what goes around comes around" - or what I often refer to as the 'karmic boomerang') that develops, hones, and tunes the spirit into the higher levels,  eventually becoming attuned to the highest level of as 'old soul' in later lives.

Part of that developing process is to become infinitely more empathic, attuned to the universe and destiny, and for our intuition to develop more towards psychic powers. At this stage we sense that destiny plays a greater part in our lives that we could previously have imagined as we 'peek behind the scenes' of the universal mechanisms through our developing intuition.

This itself is also a challenge as we watch those less enlightened who are still contained in the "I know best" mode, mess up their lives going wandering down the wrong path. Typical of this is the soulmate; where we are tasked to watch them wander off knowing somehow that the tests they will face will ultimately bring them back around, older, wiser and more spiritually aware.

It's important to understand that each time our soul revisits the earthly plane, that we play 'catch-up', developing through our earthly actions and learning experiences quickly to regain that level of spiritual awareness we attained when leaving the previous life.  In other words, in entering this life we are initially unconscious of the fact that we are required to have a very testing life to 'fast track' us to the spiritual level we are meant to be at in this one.

So; the older the soul, the harder and more testing the early events in order to make us reach inside and spiritually open; to regain previously achieved levels of spirituality and to further develop..

'Soul age' with Soulmates

I've already mentioned that we have all had to deal with the 'young souls', the ones who seem sent to test us and can often leave us feeling dazed and confused and hurt.

At this point I have to highlight something that's particularly important and relevant to soulmates.  Your soulmate is unlikely to be a young soul even though their actions to-date may fit what we've described as a young soul.

We get terribly confused when we sense they are loving and caring and deep and spiritually enlightened yet they frequently behave in the totally opposite way

The important difference between a soulmate and a young soul is that the universe does not connect young souls with old souls in soulmate connections. What your soulmate is most likely going through is the life tests on that "fast track" , i.e learning fast and developing to their real soul age through meeting all the tough tests and making all the mistakes, acting in that earthly controlled, ego based, "I know best" way.

Hence the duality of their existence and the confusion they cause within our lives. What you are sensing is that destiny. It's the butterfly sensing another butterfly but seeing a caterpillar….

This is the main reason soulmates have to part, in order that the less developed one catches up with their earthly experiences in order to fully awaken spiritually and be ready to reconnect with their real soul age from the past life and to reconnect with you to continue the journey at the same spiritual level…

Energy Vampires and Attack

Old souls will also be no strangers to people who try to cling to, or take or attack our energy.   Often the more we give to people the more abuse we take. It's an extreme example of the "no good deed goes unpunished" rule.

Energy vampires are those who somehow spiritually sense our power and energy to come into our lives to using us as a crutch, often draining us through their need to explain their problems and us be the solution.

Frequently they will use our caring, giving nature to assist them with their lives, often becoming too close and draining and we don't seem to be able to find a way to tell them that this is something we aren't comfortable with and so we allow it to continue to an abusive level.

Most times the person clinging to us won't be aware of why they are doing this; they just sense, feel that we have something they need that causes them to be drawn closer and closer.

This is because their spirit, their energy senses a more powerful energy. It's not on an ego awareness plane, we're not talking 'mind' stuff here we're talking spiritual energy which all of us sense even if we aren't realizing it. It's on the "there's something about him/her" level.

Some will migrate to that energy for healing and comfort, the 'karmic vampire', others will fall for the energy in a romantic way and become instantly attached, with others seeking us out as a focus for blame and negative attention ( karmic dumping ).  When confronted with their actions, even in the most caring and compassionate of ways, aggression and blame are often the responses they visit upon us as they lash out...

Jealous bosses or co-workers, unwanted sexual attention, being 'picked out', blamed, the focus of attention when we don't want to be - all of these are classic symptoms..  Yes anyone will experience some of this in their daily lives but what we are talking here is something that happens to the old soul again and again at a frequency and intensity far above anything that can statistically be considered average..

Now you may think the word attack is rather strong and negativity and conflict are a common phenomenon of everyday human interaction, however any old soul will point out the frequency and veracity of their experiences- often amazing others when they hear the stories.

At this point I remember lots of incidents in my own life but the most profound moment was when I was confronted by someone who spat anger and bile at me proclaiming I'd done this and that and the other with dark motives.

The total shock was something I won't forget. Actually I hadn't done any of these things; in fact I wasn't even in the country when they happened. However that didn't mean anything to this man - he set himself up as judge, jury and executioner and that utterly stunned me.  It was only one of lots of incidences but is typical of an 'attack'.

On an energy level, this guy, to my definite first hand knowledge, cheated on his wife, was unfair in business, had a huge ego and had controlled and manipulated several people to his own ends.  Nevertheless I had never taken it as my task to judge any of this, I just treated him like I treated anyone else. That was what caused the utter disbelief; the astonishment that his 'reality' was 180 degrees from actual events.

Attacks from young souls who misinterpret our actions based upon their own narrow understandings are commonplace.  In the example above, this guy had judged me based not upon his perception of me, my morals and motives - but from his own. He projected people's actions as having the same intent as his own and not realizing what he had done, had given me an insight into his own dark world by the veracity and ferociousness of his attack.

He could not perceive any of my actions as being honest, decent and caring and putting others first because he wasn't capable of acting from that place within himself. In addition, whatever anger, frustration and emotions this caused necessitated him exaggerating these false claims to a level so ludicrous that it lost all connection with reality.

In the end a quick chat with his lawyer resolved the problem because the lawyer simply told me the case was so ludicrous he couldn't take it seriously. However it was still very painful for me and really illustrates that in addition to giving love and light and understanding, we need to be prepared to defend ourselves against attach from a darker or afflicted soul - 'karmic dumping' as I call it.

This again is one of the spiritual karmic tests that every old soul has to face.
I always say that an old soul can walk into a room full of people and without even saying a word, three others will adore them and three hate them instantaneously.

All of the above cannot be avoided and are not as a result of our actions but of who we are on a spiritual level.

The importance of power.

As we grow and learn, parents' teachers, mentors, the media, religious teachings and other influences in our lives all teach us that being giving and kind and caring and turning the other cheek are vital to being a good human being.  True of course..

So why do we; more caring, more giving, more compassionate old souls often feel walked over by life ??

As in all things there is a duality. Look at nature - there's no cold without hot, no up without down, no dark without light. The yin and the yang, the interplay of opposing forces seeking balance.

Although conventional teaching is to keep pouring love and light and openness and giving into situations there is a point where we become depleted. There is a point where our love and compassion can cause us to give more than is healthy, to accept more than is our lot, and when we run out of cheeks to turn.

Herein lies one of the most important karmic lessons; in that, we must seek balance. We must maintain our own personal power and not allow love, compassion and "thinking the best of people" to become voluntary abuse when that person or persons repays us with negativity.

Allowing this to happen encourages lowering self-esteem, feelings of abandonment, and a sense that destiny has left us behind when people are responding to us in a very negative way.  For many of us this is a lesson that takes many years to learn.

Most of use will have experienced abuse of our energy in different situations from work, family and relatives, within friendships and especially in personal relationships.

We often give too much because we are giving people, and through that action diminish our personal power.  Give love and light YES, pray for people YES, BUT I believe that it is essential for all of us to sometimes have to fight to protect the incredible value of our energy; to realize it is a rare thing and to value it even when others don't.

In achieving balance we understand that giving love and light and having compassion and caring and understanding of people, especially those that are afflicted and confused by negativity is essential but is only one half of that balance.  Love and light won't get your elephant off the tracks so sometimes we need to use our power in an assertive way.

The old soul experience comes with many such tests. This is not about giving less or giving to receive, it is to balance our giving and loving and caring with a total respect for the gold that is our own energy…In all things balance…

The History of Alchemy Explained

Alchemy, according to esoteric writers, is said to be the invention of an ancient Egyptian sage called Hermes Trismegistus. The "Father of Alchemy" lived in an unknown age of Egyptian history, though he is thought by some Rosicrucian schools to have lived during the time of Moses and the Exodus of the Israelites. If true, being an Initiate of the mysteries of Isis and Osiris, Moses must have been tutored by Hermes himself, which later enabled him to carry out his mission and to realize his I AM Presence symbolised by the burning bush. The various precepts and the Ten Commandments of the Lord of Hosts revealed to the Israelites by Moses are the first alchemical steps of purification and putrefaction. Further steps were later added to the Mosaic revelation by the Nazarene Master. Indeed, the Christ declared that he came not to abolish the previous revelation, but to fulfill it.

It is thought by some that "Hermes Trismegistus" constituted a title assumed by distinguished hierophants of the Mystery Schools, in a somewhat similar manner that Zoroaster, the founder of the "Fire Religion" is regarded by certain scholars. Incidentally, alchemy may also be considered a Fire Religion, or at least a philosophy, because of its symbology of fire related to the alchemical principles, its prerequisite in the art of transmutation, and to the respect and honor paid to it by alchemists.

Jewish mystics identify Hermes as the antediluvian prophet Enoch, or Idris, as the Muslims call him; while ancient Egyptians see Hermes as Thoth, the god of Wisdom, Learning, and Writing. He was given this apotheosis along with Imhotep, the great architect under the reign of King Zoser of the Fourth Dynasty. It would appear that both men were overshadowed by the archetypal figure of Thoth, and were acknowledged as such by both the inner and outer circles of initiates of the Mystery Schools. Thoth, or his Greek counterpart, Mercury, was a messenger of the gods; and as an archetypal incarnation of this god, Hermes lived up to his name by his literary productiveness. Ancient writers declared that the "Trice Greatest" wrote thousands of books on what later became known as Hermeticism and Alchemy. It is unfortunate that very little of Hermes' works survived the conflagration and destruction of libraries and books by Roman and Christian zeal in the early dawn of the Piscean Age. The world as a whole is still ignorant of the great loss, and it will take some time before the invocation is made by the masses for the Greater Light, for disclosure of eternal principles that would shine upon the paths of men, and consequently, for a full restoration and establishment of an occult library of the world, with an archive and database of every known system and tradition of the metaphysical side of life. Although little is known of Hermes, it is evident through the works attributed to him that he was an intermediary of the Wisdom Ray of the Supreme Being.

One of the most famed works on Hermetic doctrine written, and in concise form, is the Smaragdine Tablet attributed to the authorship of Hermes. Its discovery is traditionally believed to have been made by Alexander of Macedonia in a cave near Hebron. This conqueror of nations who had Aristotle for a Master, was in search of immortality. Although he failed to attain his personal immortality, Alexander did uncover a philosophical jewel that would have given him what he had sought if he had only applied the principles that the Emerald Tablet contained. Tradition relates that the Tablet was wrought out of artificial emerald, as a result of transmutation, with the Hermetic doctrine embossed on it.

Alchemy, as a philosophy and an art in the Western hemisphere in the past two millenia, existed concurrently in other ancient cultures and civilizations--it was practiced intensely by Hindu Yogis and Taoists, in India and China. This parallel growth is probably the result of the Great White Brotherhood's periodic presentation of a spiritual method designed for the development of certain types of temperaments and belief-framework of those aspirants belonging to a certain era and stage of mankind's collective evolution.

Based on this parallel growth of alchemy in the Orient and the regions of the Fertile Crescent suggested to some Esoteric historians that alchemy may have had a common origin in that sunken continent Atlan, or Atlantis, as it is more generally known. Esoteric Tradition declares that a handful of the Atlantean Root Race survived the submergence of the land and transmigrated to Egypt, China, and the Americas. It is reasonable to assume that they brought with them their sciences, art, and culture, which influenced the inhabitants indigenous to the regions where they settled. This would explain the similarities in the traditions and beliefs of native cultures to be found both East and West.

Principles of Alchemy are the principles that Nature herself works with, and thus alchemy, scientifically, existed in the inner planes long before it was brought down to the earth plane by Master teachers. A study of Nature's mysteries would reveal to the discerning student that the higher Intelligences, the Elohim, and the Great Architect of the Universe utilized alchemical principles to precipitate the starry bodies out of Chaos, out of Cosmic Root Substance or "Sunyata," as termed by the Buddhist. Qabalists believe that Adam was taught by the angels in Paradise the art of transmutation, to prepare him for his "Fall" and his climb back toward his Monad, toward godhood--his involution and evolution from a Divine Consciousness to Divine Self-Consciousness.

There is no general concurrence among scholars as to the origin of the word "alchemy." The consensus is that the word is derived from the word "Khem," the ancient name for Egypt, added to the Arabic article "al," meaning "the," thus forming the word "al-Khemy." However, Sir Wallis Budge is of the opinion that alchemy comes from the Egyptian word "khemein," meaning the "black powder" or "ore" which is presumed to be an ingredient in alchemy. No matter where it secured its name, the word "alchemy," it would seem, first came into prominence in the Mystery Schools in Alexandria.

The Truth about HALLOWEEN Occult and Pagan Origins

The truth about Halloween, its dark history rooted in pagan and occultist origins and why Halloween is about much more than just dressing up as Frankenstein's monster and getting candy from your neighbors.

Halloween is considered by many in the psychic and magick spheres as the most important day if the year. Why is Halloween so important? To find out we have to look into the origins of Halloween. When most people think of Halloween, October 31st, they tend to think of images such as jack'o'lanterns, ghosts, witches, haunted houses and many more. But is Halloween really to do with occult?

Is Halloween really an occult or pagan celebration?

It seems anything to do with paganism is branded occultist! The fact is the word Halloween comes from the phrase "all Hallows eve" and actually refers to the day before "all saints day", November 1st, which is a Christian holy day. Wait. What? I thought you said it was pagan? Right. Halloween, like so many other pagan holidays was rebranded by the catholic church. Christmas for example is just the Roman pagan celebration of Saturnalia with Jesus pasted on the top. Christianity isn't the only religion guilty of this, Ramadan predated Islam and is actually a moon worshiping pagan celebration.

So why did the pagans celebrate Halloween? What did Halloween mean to the ancients?

Ancient peoples believed that the "door" between our three dimensional world and the spirit world was at its weakest on October 31st and this meant that spirits, ghosts and demons were able to cross over into our dimension with more ease than usual. This in turn meant any magickal spells, enchantments, curses or hexes would be more powerful. This is why Halloween is such an important day in the psi, pagan and occult calendar.

With the barrier between worlds at its weakest, and spirit energy floating all around the place ancient pagans developed strategies for dealing with this, ways of protecting themselves and their families from the darker more unpleasant forces. They would perform rituals around a bonfire and wear scary masks in order to scare away any evil spirits or unwanted entities. This is why people dress up at Halloween. What about trick or treating though? Where does trick or treating come from? Well remember those bonfires we spoke about? People would go round the village or town knocking on doors asking for wood to be donated to the town fire, to protect the whole town from evil spirits. Eventually wood was replaced by fruit and nuts and now sweets, or candy if you're American.

So of you're going out trick or treating, or know someone who is then beware. Forget bullies and robbers. Keep your eyes open and your ears peeled for visitors from the spirit world.

Anunnaki Evidence and Reptilian Gods in History and Mythology

You may or may not remember in the last blog post we looked at a small section of Alien species and races that have made contact with us here on our little blue planet: Earth.

One of these alien races we looked at was the Anunnaki, a race of reptilian shape shifters. I mentioned last time, almost in passing, there is a school of thought that the Anunnaki have not only made contact with humanity but that they are here, living amongst us, influencing, controlling, manipulating and shaping the course of human history and civilization and have been for thousands of years.

This raised many eyebrows over on Twitter (@MarkMauvais if your not already following). There are of course many people who argue this is just a wild conspiracy theory. So we shall now look at some of the evidence that has been put forward for this case of reptilian overlords secretly ruling the world.

Where better to start than with the origin of the word Anunnaki? The word actually means the offspring of Anu and Ki, two ancient Sumerian deities. The word Anunnaki is actually over 5000 years old.

The ancient Sumerians believed that Anu, and his wife Ki, were reptilian humanoids who descended from Heaven to bestow knowledge on to humanity. Anu is described as a sky-god, the god of heaven, lord of constellations, king of gods, spirits and demons, and dwelt in the highest heavenly regions. In fact a great number of the Sumerian gods were reptilian.

Interestingly the arrival of the Anunnaki, in the third millennium before Christ, coincides with a number of humanities greatest technological advances. Until this point in history humans had been a nomadic people, moving from place to place following the animals they hunted for food using stone tools. This had been the way for hundreds of thousands of years, then suddenly out of nowhere everything changes.

Boom. Agriculture. It seems like nothing significant to us in the modern age but this was the first example in history of humans manipulating nature, harvesting the earth, for its own needs. The first time on earth, ever, no other animal farms or grows its own food and till this time no human on earth had either. It was a game changer. No longer did people have to follow the food, the food grew right outside. The Sumerians became the first people to "write" using pictographs. Bronze replaces stone as the go to material for tool building as the bronze age begins and settlements, towns and city states begin to appear as well as the construction of mega-structures known as Ziggurats.

Could the Anunnaki be responsible for these great leaps forward? Could these reptilian aliens have bestowed this knowledge on humanity? Well its not the only example of reptilians passing knowledge to humans, its a recurring theme in a number of ancient cultures and myths, not just in Sumeria but ALL around the world, between societies that had zero contact with each other.

Come with me now, for a moment, if you will, to the other side of the world to ancient Mesoamerica. There is no way on Earth that the Olmecs, Aztecs, or Mayans could have had any interaction with ancient Sumeria as the Americas were only discovered some 600 years ago...

The image of the serpent is prominent in the Mesoamerican religions and myths. There are a number of reptilian gods in the Olmec, Aztec and Mayan belief systems. The first of these Mesoamerican gods is Mixcoatl, god of the stars and the heavens whos name translates as "cloud serpent". Then we come to Coatlicue, the "mother of the gods"  She is represented as a woman with a wearing a skirt of writhing snakes and a necklace made of human hearts, hands, and skulls. Her feet and hands are adorned with claws. Or there is Quetzalcoatl  who's name literally translates to  "feathered serpent" a god of agriculture, culture and civilization.

Notice a connection? Serpents from the heavens bringing knowledge of agriculture and technology? Perhaps my favourite example of these serpents descending from the heavens in the Mesoamerican faiths can be found at the site of mega-structure Chichen Itza in Yucatan, Mexico.

The Mayans, who built Chichen Itza, had a great depth of knowledge regarding astronomy, about outer space and the universe. They knew for example that Venus appeared on the western and disappeared on the eastern horizons at different times in the year, and that it took 584 days to complete one cycle. They also knew that five of these Venus cycles equaled eight solar years.  Their calender is one of the most famous in history.

I digress...

Back to reptilians. What's amazing about Chichen Itza is what happens to the building during the spring and fall equinoxes. The shadow cast by the angle of the sun and edges of the nine steps of the pyramid combined with the northern stairway and the stone serpent head carvings create the illusion of a massive serpent descending from the sky down the side of the pyramid.

On the other other side of the world, another as yet undiscovered continent Australia the native aboriginal people also believed in a number of reptilian lizard and serpent gods, the most famous of which is the Rainbow Serpent. Adnoartina is known as the lizard guard of Uluru, or Ayers Rock. The aboriginal peoples of Australia living around Uluru tell numerous legends about Adnoartina and other lizards that emerge from the rock.

Sadly much of the information about the aboriginal religion has been lost, as was much of the mesoamerican religious history (thanks to Spanish invaders destroying everything!) but everywhere we look this same imagery appears in every religion around the world since the beginning of time.  From the original Anunnaki in ancient Sumeria, through Mesopotamia, Egypt, Africa, Ancient Greece, the Roman Empire, Norse, Hinduism, Ancient China, Japanese, Native American, Aztec, Incan, Mayan literally the reptiles are everywhere.

The Ancient Egyptians had a polythiestic religion and their gods were numerous. Each one had their own “story” and identity, with some of the most well known being Horus, Isis, Seth (or Set), Anubis and Ra. Most of these Gods were depicted as half human and half animal, with the reptile being one of the most common.

Yet another interesting account of a reptilian race found in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism comes from the nations of India, China and the far East. In a Cambodian legend, the nāga are described a reptilian race of beings or 'heavenly kings' who possessed a large empire or kingdom. The Nāga came to earth and bred with the local human population, giving birth to a docile hybrid race of workers and slaves: the Cambodians. That's not me being racist... its their legend! It is believed that a number of the pure breed Nāga are still living here on Earth in secret. Some are water-dwellers, living in streams or the ocean; others are earth-dwellers, living in underground caverns.

And all that before we even get to probably the most famous reptilian in all religion.... A link between the Anunnaki and the Abrahamic faiths: Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

All three of these faiths are interconnected in their origin and include the same stories, myths and legends about the same prophets. The Torah, the Jewish holy book makes up the first five books of the old testament in the christian bible. The new testament, which details the life of Jesus, is where Christianity picks up and carries on the story from where the Jews left off. Finally the Quran is often referred to as 'The Final Testament' and represent a third episode in the Abrahamic trilogy.

The Reptilian in these religions to which I am of course referring to the infamous Serpent in the Garden of Eden. The book of Genesis describes how a serpent with legs manipulated Eve into eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge. A serpent with legs? or an Anunnaki? Notice once again the correlation between the reptile and the acquisition of knowledge? Nachash, the Hebrew word for "snake", is often associated with knowledge of the future.

This image of the serpent and the tree of knowledge is again everywhere and brings us neatly back to ancient Sumeria. The Epic of Gilgamesh is one the oldest known books ever written. It was recorded on clay tablets in ancient Sumeria some 5000 years ago. It too features this very same image of the serpent and the tree of knowledge.

The Ningishzida is a Sumerian god who guards the gates of Anu's celestial palace. His name in Sumerian is translated as "lord of the good tree" and is the first example of this now famous image of the serpent wrapped around a rod representing the tree of knowledge. This image can be also seen in Ancient Greece as the staff of Hermes, or Mercury in Ancient Rome, even again in the bible again, this time as the staff of Aaron (brother of Moses).

Its interesting that we come back to the bible again, in this case the book of Exodus when Moses leads the Jewish people out of Egypt after liberating them from the tyrannical rule of the Egyptian Pharaohs (who themselves could have been Anunnakki hybrids). There is more serpent imagery in this book. When Moses is challenged by the Pharaoh to demonstrate the power of his god he throws a staff to the floor which transforms into a snake. The Pharaoh is unimpressed, his own magicians can do the same.

Also remember the Ziggurats? Those Ancient Sumeria mega structures? (not too dissimilar from Chichen Itza I might add) Well the building of these massive temples is also mentioned in the bible when one of them, in the city of Babylon is destroyed. The Tower of Babel. The bible says that the people of Babel were trying to build a tower "into the heavens".

I mean seriously, there is so many examples of lizard men and serpents coming from or living in the sky who part knowledge onto humanity. There is no way its a coincidence. Its such a common thread running through the DNA of all the cultures on Earth, there has to be a logical explanation for why this same imagery appears time and time again in cultures which had no contact between each other. If you have a better explanation I would love to hear it....

The Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah

Remember the days when God committed genocide on his people because the liked putting things up their bums? Whatever happened to Sodom and Gomorrah?

What does the bible say about the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah? Why were Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed? What did they do wrong? All good questions and we shall examine them further in this article about he destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

The bible mentions two cities in the book of Genesis named Sodom and Gomorrah which were both destroyed by God in a hissy fit. Basically all the people of Sodom and Gomorrah (with the exception of Abraham's cousin Lot) were sinners who practiced homosexuality which apparently God doesn't like so he and decided to commit genocide on them.

Not cool God. Killing people and all that. Last time I checked that was against one of the Ten commandments. But of course God is well known for his love of Genocide, just look at that time he murdered every living person bar Noah and his sons...

The word Sodom is where we get the word sodomy from nowadays which describes and kind of lurid non vanilla sex type activities such as anal or oral sex, either homosexual or heterosexual, or sexual activity between a person and a non-human animal (bestiality).

The story of Lot is particularly telling. So Lot is Abraham's cousin who innocently lives in the city of Sodom and is spared by God from the fire and brimstone and destruction of these two cities. Two angels are sent ahead to warn him of the impending doom and destruction. He is billed as the 'hero' of the piece despite offering out his virgin daughters for a gang rape.

"Here, rape my virgin daughter instead!"

I was genuinely shocked and disgusted when I read this. This is real, its in your bible if you have one, please check it out. Its Genesis 19:21.

4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”

6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him 7 and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing. 8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.”

It seems that gayness is a worse sin than gang rape according to the bible. That can't be right. Two or more consenting men can do whatever they like in the privacy of their own home as long as nobody is forced to put anything in anywhere they don't want to! The bible is held up as a manual for how to live a decent life. Religious people tell us that without these ancient desert texts we would have no ethics or morals... yeah right.

I don't take my morals from a homophobic genocidal maniac and neither should you.

The Miracles of Mohammed PSYCHIC QURAN

What does the Quran say about psychics? We've looked before at the bibles teachings on the subject of psychic abilities and paranormal phenomena but what does Islam say about the paranormal?

We should start by noting that Islam is not that different from Christianity. The first five books of the old testament in the bible form the Jewish holy book: the Torah. If the new testament of Jesus Christ is the sequel to the Torah, the Quran is the final installment of the Abrahamic trilogy.

The reason I raise this point is that the teachings of the Quran include many of the same stories we have already examined. The prophets may have Arabic names, Abraham became Ibrahim for example,  but many of the examples of psychic phenomenon in the bible also occur in the Quran. Muslims, for example, also believe that Musa (Moses) parted the red sea, a story we are all familiar with from the book of Exodus.
The prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, was noted to have performed a number of miracles with a psychic flavour and it is these which we are now going to examine.

The first miracle we shall look at is one which is very familiar to many of us psions: weather manipulation. One day in the city of Medina the people challenged Mohammed to make it rain. The city was enduring a drought crisis and Medina is in the deserts of Saudi Arabia after all so rain isn't as common as it is in the northern hemisphere. "Tell your God to make it rain" the people demanded. And so he did. Clouds formed in the clear sky and rain fell. In fact so much rain fell on the city that it began to flood. "tell your God to stop the rain" the people  pleaded. And Mohammed (pbuh) moved the clouds to the outskirts of the city, over the farms where it would be most beneficial. Many people converted and followed the prophet from then on.

Weather control is a psychic ability many people are reported to possess. I. Myself, can cause clouds to disperse in an exercise commonly known as cloud busting. Focus on a cloud, preferably a smaller one and command it to disperse and it shall. Summoning clouds and rain in particular is very difficult and you can understand why so many people were impressed by this feat.

The next miracle of the prophet we shall examine is his reported ability to create water from his finger tips.

"I saw Allah's Apostle when the 'Asr prayer was due and the people searched for water to perform ablution but they could not find it. Later on (a pot full of) water for ablution was brought to Allah's Apostle . He put his hand in that pot and ordered the people to perform ablution from it. I saw the water springing out from underneath his fingers till all of them performed the ablution (it was one of the miracles of the Prophet)."

We could view this as a form of Hydrokinesis. Hydrokinesis is of course the psychical ability to manipulate liquid water. However in his case Mohammed (pbuh) was able to create water from nothing which is a much more difficult skill, one that I have not seen recreated.

Wow, just wow

The third and final miracle we will look at is truly incredible. We have really saved the best for last here. While the prophet was travelling trying to convince the people of Mecca to follow him he performed possibly the greatest miracle since the parting of the red sea: The prophet Mohammed split the moon in two.

"We were along with God's Messenger at Mina, that moon was split up into two. One of its parts was behind the mountain and the other one was on this side of the mountain. God's Messenger said to us: Bear witness to this"

Whether this is an example of Telekinesis or Lunarkinesis I am not so sure. Its quite a feat though and you can understand why so many pagans would convert to Islam after witnessing such a miracle.

Many poeple will argue that these miracles were not performed by the Prophet Mohammed at all. They will say that they are just allegorical stories exaggerated with each telling, like a game of chinese whispers. Other will say "No, these miracles were performed by Allah himself!". I don't know, you don't know, nobody really knows. Lets just sit back and admire the miracles.

How to have a Happy Life: Karma and the Laws of Attraction Explained

We are all made of star stuff.

Lets face it we are just all just an individual collection of atoms, we are all made of the same stuff, and our lives are so short. Nothing is more important that the quest for a happy life. We are going to look at a technique for how to have a happy life. This method will explain how to attract goodness and make good things happen.

In the Eastern religions, Hinduism and Buddhism they have a concept known as Karma. What is karma? The simplistic answer is that if you do good things the universe will reward you and those who do bad will suffer negative consequences. Yet we know this not to be entirely true because bad things happen to good people  too.

The long answer is that its not as simple as that.  The system isn't as dogmatic as that.

If your a good person who spends his time helping people, caring for others, respectful of the earth, sharing and being kind then you will attract other people like that into your life. Having people like that in your life will only improve your existence. Those are the kind of friends you want right? If you share the things you have with your friends then they will share with you.

If you raise your children properly and bring them up in a loving home, teach them how to behave and how to treat others then they will benefit from your good karma. They will attract good things into your life too.
A bad person, who steals to buy drugs would be a bad friend. Imagine what his friends must be like... crack dealers never make good friends. I wouldn't let a crack dealer into my house! People like that only bring pain, suffering and misery into your life. If you  are a criminal then you will attract other criminals and bad things will happen to you.

Its not because of some mystic concept of karma but rather just a results of your focus and the situation you find yourself in. If you are a bad guy you're not going to attract the right kind of people into your life. How is a guy who gets drunk and starts fights in bar going to connect with a kind woman who works in a soup kitchen? Hes going to hang round with other drunkards in the pub who encourage that bad behavior. You wont meet people who are going to help improve your life by being a dick.

What can we learn from Crows?

Always when you judge another person you must turn your finger on yourself and ask the question "Am I guilty of this?". There was a study which followed the behavior of crows. They found that some crows would steal food from the other crows nests. What they would do is watch where another crow hid some food and then when the coast was clear they'd go and steal it. The interesting thing is that the crows who did the stealing, when they hid their food if another crow was watching they would move it afterwards. What does this mean? That the thief suspects theft.

Have you ever lost something and thought "maybe somebody stole it?" What does that say about you?

Sometimes you'll fall out with someone in your life, you'll look at them and think to yourself "she's not talking to me" or "why didn't they invite me" you must look at yourself and think well what am I doing? You're not talking to that person either. Why does that person have to go first? I always say be the cause of your life not an effect in someone else's.

Don't you see? We are more than just an individual collection of atoms, we are all made of the same stuff, and we all share the same planet, we are all part of the interconnectness of everything. All effects have causes, Dad gets told off at work so hes angry, then he complains about dinner and Mom gets angry then she shouts at the kid for not doing the homework and the kid stomps upstairs and kicks the cat.

Be a good guy and good stuff will happen to you. Your life will be filled with goodness.

Is there a link between Telekinesis and the Devil? The occult and Satanism.

At least once a week somebody accuses me of worshiping the Devil.

Contrary to popular belief; I did not sell my soul in exchange for my psychic abilities. I do not have a deal with the devil, I'm not the Antichrist, nor a vampire, I've never sacrificed a virgin nor have I never danced naked under a full moon in some bizarre witchcraft type ceremony.

People often say to me "Oh, I want to learn telekinesis but don't want to worship the devil" well... good news.

Not only is Telekinesis, and the rest of the extrasensory spectrum, a learn able skill set that anybody can develop using the psychic investigations model, but that Satan is in no way involved. Also, more good news for people worried about a link between psychokinesis and the dark lord Lucifer: he doesn't actually exist.

I've dabbled in the occult, we've all used Ouija boards, pendulums, dowsing rods, all those paranormal tools. but I can assure you that devil worship is not necessary to learning telekinesis. That's not to say that if you are a satanist that you cannot learn TK! Head over to my forum, you're all welcome.

If you are interested in learning psychokinesis, if you want to be able to manipulate matter, to be able to move objects with the power of your mind, check out: http://psychicinvestigation.forumotion.com/t11-telekinesis-faq

Three Basic Easy Meditation Techniques for Beginners

The question here is pretty obvious. What are your meditation techniques? How do you meditate? There are many people out there in need of more meditation ideas. Many websites tell you meditation is important and offer a simple meditation technique. Here we are going to look at a few examples of ways you can induce a meditative trance like state, like those used by the famous psychics across history most notably Edgar Cayce.

I generally offer the classic Hindu method of meditation to beginners as it is a simple method and is similar to what they are expecting to have to do. After all this standard meditation exercise has been spoon fed to us through the media for our whole lives since its legend came over from India in Victorian times. Meditation and visualization techniques can help to can calm your mind and enter a relaxing state. The Hindu method goes something like this:

The Classic Hindu Induction

1. Sit with your back straight and your hands face up in your lap.
2. Breathe in a Pranayama style: breathe with your diaphragm rather than your lungs.
3. Relax your facial muscles and jaw, let your mouth hang open.
4. Begin a mantra of gentle "Ohm's" allow the word to 'drag slightly' as if your singing and you will experience a vibration sensation in your body.
5. Clear your mind of all thoughts and allow a gentle stillness to overcome you.

However this classic Hindu style method may not be the meditation technique you are looking for. Everybody thinks in different ways and may need different meditative methods for inducing a trance like state.  The work of Franz Mesmer into mesmerism kick started a revolution in trance induction in Europe and thus many more inductions were developed.

The Candle Induction

1. Light a candle and place it on a solid surface where it cannot fall.
2. Sit down approximately one metre away from the candle with your legs crossed.
3. Focus all of your attention onto the flame, watch it dance.
4. Relax your facial muscles and jaw, let your mouth hang open.
5. Clear your mind of all thoughts and allow a gentle stillness to overcome you.

This candle light induction is more more useful for those whole are visually minded and struggle to concentrate for long periods of time. You will be amazed when you notice how easy it is to 'zone out' using this meditation method. Soon the area around the candle will start to disappear from your sight and a white blankness will start to form around the edges of your vision. Sound interesting? Altering your perception through meditation... Well this next one will blow your mind. If you are the kind of person who scares easily then this one isn't for you. If you are still wrestling with the idea that using psychic powers may be some kind of dark satanic thing then this next meditation is not one for you!

The Dark side Induction

1. Light a candle in a dark room at night and place it on a solid surface opposite a mirror.
2. Sit down approximately one metre away from the candle facing the mirror with your back to the candle.
3. Ensure that the candle is in an area behind your head and that you cannot see the flame in your reflection.
4. Relax your facial muscles and jaw, let your mouth hang open.
5. Stare into your own face, and observe the surreal events that occur.

This last method is not for the feint of heart, trust me it will show you things that you won't believe. Your reading this now in your chair or on your phone thinking "pah!" and those people I challenge to try this. The frankly weird things that you will see differ from person to person. There are those who claim they have had precognitive experiences while doing this exercise, for me something much more terrible happens.

What does the Bible say about Psychics?

Is being a Psychic a sin?

What does the bible have to say about psychics? Is practicing clairvoyance and psychic powers against Christianity? I get these kind of questions almost every day on my YouTube channel. People often accuse me of being a Satanist or say that I sold my soul to the devil for telekinesis powers. Contrary to popular belief I am not the Antichrist...

It is a sticky question though. Some people who believe in the baby Jesus have asked me whether training in telekinesis or clairvoyance is a sin. The bible doesn't really do much to answer this question. The are examples in the bible where psychic powers are used by the 'heroes', the prophets, gods chosen ones or whatever and are lauded as miracles.

One of the earliest mentioned in the bible is the story of a man named Saul who visited a spirit medium in order to contact the deceased former King Samuel. His advisers found him a woman medium who was able to summon the spirit of Samuel and communicate with him 'on the other side'. She was able to relay information from one to the other.

Or Joseph, who had what was known as a dream coat. In the story there are many examples of Joseph experiencing precognitive dreams and being able to predict the future. In his dream state he was able to see clues regarding the future. Some times these came in an abstract form and needed to be deciphered. His precognitive dreams included one showing the sun, moon, and eleven stars bowing down to him. He later went on to become a chief adviser for the Pharaoh of Egypt of that time.

Yet there are parts where it damns those who practice the occult:

“Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God."
Leviticus 19:31

“If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people."
Leviticus 20:6

“A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.”
Leviticus 20:27

As with many things the bible seems a little confused on the subject. When Jesus speaks to the astrally projected souls of the prophets, Moses and Abraham it is a miracle. Yet when a man in a hole in the desert does it its a sin and he will burn in hell forever and die a millions deaths over and over again blah blah blah. You know.

So draw your own conclusion...

Famous Psychics from History

In this article we are going to look at some of the most famous psychics that have ever lived. History is littered with famous psychics and stories about people with psychic powers can be found in a wide variety of cultures around the world. From ancient Babylon, Egypt, and Greece to Aborigines, Native Americans and Haitian Voodoo we can find stories of psychic feats from people who can see the future to people who can speak to the dead.

One of the earliest mentioned can be found in the bible. The story tells of a man named Joseph, who had what was known as a dream coat.

In fact the bible has many references to psychics, for example Saul visited a spirit medium in order to contact the deceased former King Samuel. His advisers found him a woman medium who was able to summon the spirit of Samuel and communicate with him 'on the other side'. She was able to relay information from one to the other.

Psychics can also be found in ancient Greek literature, such as the story of Cassandra. She was a beautiful woman who refused the have sex with the God Apollo. He then cursed her with the ability to see the future. She foresaw the destruction of Troy (she warned the Trojans about the Trojan Horse, the death of Agamemnon, and her own demise.) However she was unable to do anything to forestall these tragedies since no one believed her prophecies.

In those days Psychics were a lot more respected than they are these days and often found themselves in import roles in the society. Nostradamus, the French clairvoyant was also an official adviser to Queen Catherine de Medici and famously told the queen that all of her sons would be kings but that she would herself outlive them all. This turned out to be true in every case but one.

Another famous psychic from history is Clairvoyant and spiritualist medium Madame Helena Blavatsky. Born in 1831 in Soviet Russia, Blavatsky after traveling the world, would eventually go on to establish a research and publishing institute called the Theosophical Society. Blavatsky defined Theosophy as "the archaic Wisdom-Religion, the esoteric doctrine once known in every ancient country having claims to civilization." She gained fame as spirit medium who was able to connect to the spirit realm and relay information from the other side. This included a bold prediction that the atom could be split, a theory widely lampooned in her time.

Edgar Cayce was an American psychic, in the in the late 1800s and early 1900s, who allegedly possessed the ability to answer questions on subjects as varied as healing and wars, and had visions of the world ending. He would famously lie at the bottom of his bed in a "hypnotic like state" and dictate his prophecies. It was done in such a fashion because Cayce said he generally would not remember what he had said while in this state. His predictions are numerous and many of his prophecies have been exacted.

The final Psychic we are going to take a look at in this article is Nina Kulagina, she rather than helping a royal figure found her self working with the Soviet Union and the KGB. During the Cold War, silent black-and-white films of Russian psychic Nina Kulagina performing feats of telekinesis, appearing to move objects on a table with her mind, were produced. The film was recorded under controlled conditions by Soviet authorities. She's pretty bad ass and once she stopped the beating heart of a frog. Damn. That's against the second rule of Telekinesis. Never use your powers on living creatures!

There are countless examples of Famous psychics in history. As long as people have been writing they have been recording the accounts of mystics, soothsayers and prophets. From ancient Egypt to the modern day the ability to communicate with the other side and to see into the future has fascinated all of us.
