The Secret Code of the Dead

The Secret Code of the Dead is a paranormal / supernatural work of fiction by Charlie Purple which follows a close group of four childhood friends. Based in England's capital, the four embark on a journey of discovery that will have them travelling to a war ravaged Iraq. They inadvertently open doorways to a world that should be kept firmly shut. As the story unfolds, natural cynicism is dispelled as they awaken to the only possible conclusion; they have found a code to listen to the dead.

This is a very powerful tool and it soon attracts interest from people that would abuse this gift.

An extraordinary amount of time and money is invested in our desire to communicate with the departed, but if there is an afterlife, surely its inhabitants would wish to communicate with the living too? This story is about such a possibility and how one man's unique skills enable the dead to construct a language around his life experiences.

What begins with an evening meal for four lifelong friends in England, ends with one of them (David) embarking on a journey of discovery. After accepting a post as foreign correspondent events lead inextricably to a day of reckoning where he is invited to confront his innermost desire in a war torn Iraq.

Hadrian is a creditable reluctant psychic with unique skills, and that's why he was chosen to develop a better way of communicating with the after world.
“There is a presence in our society that will shatter the souls of humanity, he will kill you with his kindness.” When he learns of Hadrian's new gift, he will stop at nothing to control him, but the dead have subtle ways of protecting their secrets too.

This is a fast paced novella, with believable characters experiencing extraordinary events in ordinary lives. Would your conscious mind truly recognise your innermost desire?
“To thine own self always be true.”

The TRUTH BEHIND The Teachings of HP BLAVATSKY

Hidden Meanings in the Helena Blavatsky teaching methods:

So what can I tell you about the teachings of Helena Blavatsky? Well Helena Blavatsky wasn't a satanist shes probably one of the most important psychics ever known. It was a boom time in Psi and occult research at that time and shes was a Russian occultist and author of the infamous Secret Doctrine (1888) would would go on to found a research institute known as the Theosophical Society. A society  which continues to exist to the modern day!

She famously said that The Secret Doctrine, or to give it the full name: The Secret Doctrine, the Synthesis of Science, Religion and Philosophy contains secrets about the "The science of the secrets of nature — physical and psychic, mental and spiritual" to anyone who reads it. Lets take a closer look at the teachings of Helena Blavatsky. What can we learn from Helena Blavatsky? and how does that apply to you? What could you do to reach that higher vibrational realm of consciousness?

The Secret to the Secret Doctrine:
"Nature is Alive: It is not just correlations between pieces of matter. It is a living entity that will, and does, surge and evolve through its expanding self, replete with dynamic flows of energy and light. Correspondence: Everything in Nature is a sign. The signs of Nature can be read. The microcosm and macrocosm interplay. Synchronicity exists, and can be found as signs from Nature and may lead to the understanding of the divine."

I agree with this. Ever thought to yourself after something bad happens "Oh its so obvious why didn't I see the signs before it was too late". We take it around 11 million pieces of information a second and most of them are filtered out because that's the way the brain works. Jesus said "Seek and you fill find". Synchronicity is even more difficult to explain than it is to spell. So I will give you this description from Swiss Psychologist Carl Jung.

"..it is impossible, with our present resources, to explain ESP, or the fact of meaningful coincidence, as a phenomenon of energy. This makes an end of the causal explanation as well, for "effect" cannot be understood as anything except a phenomenon of energy. Therefore it cannot be a question of cause and effect, but of a falling together in time, a kind of simultaneity. Because of this quality of simultaneity, I have picked on the term "synchronicity" to designate a hypothetical factor equal in rank to causality as a principle of explanation."
Carl Jung Quotes

The Secret doctrine continues:
"Imagination and mediations: Imaginations as a power that provides access to worlds and levels of reality intermediary between the material world and the divine. Access to Supreme Worlds: The awakening within, inherently possessing the faculty to directly connect to the Divine world(s). The existence of a special human ability to create this connection. The ability to connect and explore all levels of reality; co-penetrate the human with the divine; to bond to all reality and experience a unique inner awakening."
That is what we know as The Akashic record in the Psychic community. The Akashic record is described as containing all knowledge of human experience and all experiences as well as the history of the cosmos encoded or written in the very aether or fabric of all existence.

Its an old Hindu word but it was popularized by American Prophet Edgar Cayce. He would famously lie at the bottom of his bed in a "hypnotic like state" where Cayce was able to access the 'Akashic records' using a technique known as Astral Projection and reveal information from anywhere in the universe at any point in time.

The Secret Doctrine, Vol. 1 of 2: The Synthesis of Science, Religion, and Philosophy

The Secret Doctrine, Vol. 2 of 2: The Synthesis of Science, Religion, and Philosophy

My Top Three Fiction Books of ALL TIME!

I thought it would be a good idea to share with you some of my favorite fiction books. It was hard for me to get the list down to just these three best books ever but I have. There are many great books that I haven't mentioned like Lord of the Flies or Dantes Inferno. Anyway here goes:

CANDIDE - VOLTAIRE

First published in 1753: The story of Candide, an illegitimate nephew of a German baron and his travels around the world. Raised in his uncles castle he is banished after he is caught sneaking kisses from the Barons daughter, his own cousin. I don't want to give away too much of the story but its fair to say that he gets around, from Holland to South America, even to the legendary city of El Dorado.

The entire story is littered with misfortune and terrible things repeatedly happen to our hero Candide - earthquakes, syphilis, a brush with the Inquisition even murder . Its a real tragedy but worth a read for sure. So much happens in such a short amount of pages its like bam, bam, bam, stuff is constantly going on. I love Voltaire's sarcastic writing style and the way he ridicules religion, theologians, governments, armies, philosophies, and philosophers. If you like reading my blog then I'm sure you will enjoy the work of Voltaire.

CRIME AND PUNISHMENT - DOSTOEVSKY

Crime and Punishment is one of those books that everybody should read. Its hero Rodion Raskolnikov is an impoverished student living in St. Petersburg. who formulates and executes a plan to kill an unscrupulous pawnbroker for her cash. Raskolnikov argues that with the pawnbroker's money he can perform good deeds to counterbalance the crime, while ridding the world of a worthless vermin. He also commits this murder to test his own hypothesis that some people are naturally capable of such things, and even have the right to do them. Several times throughout the novel, Raskolnikov justifies his actions by comparing himself with Napoleon Bonaparte, believing that murder is permissible in pursuit of a higher purpose. The book focuses on the internal dialogue, mental anguish, moral dilemmas and paranoia of Raskolnikov. Its a real insight into the psychology and self justification of murder and crime. I warn you though, this book is dark. There is a chapter where a man beats a horse to death in the street and when he is asked to stop he basically says "its my horse and i'll beat it if i want to"...

PARADISE LOST - MILTON

Paradise Lost is an epic poem retelling the story of Genesis. Well... its the book of Genesis starting at the point where Lucifer is cast from Heaven into Hell and documents the story of the Fall of Man: the temptation of Adam and Eve by the fallen angel Satan and their expulsion from the Garden of Eden.. I love this book because the devil is kind of cast as the hero. He certainly has all the best lines. There's one part where a demon says to Lucifer "but its so hot down here" and then Lucifer replies "We'll get used to it". The book caused a lot of controversy when it was first published in 1667 mainly because England was so up tight during those days. Its actually very accurate to the Christian story and I urge you all to read it.

So I hope that I've inspired you to read at least one of these books. Have you read any of them yourself? Which one sounds the most interesting to you? I would love to hear your thoughts on this list or any books which you think should have made the list.
