Dream Interpretation: What do our Dreams really mean?

The interpretation of dreams by dream experts may be almost as old as dreaming itself.  We know that all humans, and many animals, dream every night, and humans have always been fascinated to learn what causes dreams and what they mean.

The interpretation of dreams dates back at least as far as 3000-4000 B.C.  We know that because the interpretations of dreams were recorded in permanent form on clay tablets.  It is thought that many primitive peoples were unable to initially distinguish between the real world and the dream world.  In many cases, these people looked upon the dream world as an extension of the physical world around them, and in many cases they saw the dream world as more powerful than the waking one.

Dream interpretation was such an important field to the ancient Greek and Roman world that dream interpreters often accompanied generals and other military leaders into battles.  Dreams were taken extremely seriously, and the Greeks and Romans in particular often viewed dreams as messages sent by their gods.

Dreams also had a religious content in ancient Egypt, and priests their doubled as dream interpreters.  Dreams were among the items recorded by the ancient Egyptians in the form of hieroglyphics.  Those whose dreams were especially vivid or significant were thought to be blessed and were given special status in these ancient societies.  Likewise, people who were able to interpret dreams were thought to receive these gifts directly from the gods, and they enjoyed a special status in society as well.

There are over 700 mentions of dreams in the bible, and people in biblical times saw dreams as very significant.  Dreams and their interpretations are mentioned in many of the most significant books of the bible and other holy scriptures.

In many cases, dreams were often seen as a form of prophecy.  People often interpreted their dreams as omens or warnings, and adjusted their activities accordingly.  Dreams were often thought of as omens from deities, as messages from spirits, or as messages from departed souls.  In some cases, dreams were even seen as the work of demons, meant to confuse and trouble the dreamer.

Dreams were so important that they often dictated the actions of political and military leaders, affecting everything from the prosecution of a battle to the outcome of a political decision.  Dreams were also thought to provide vital clues to healers, and they were used in the diagnosis and treatment of all manners of illness.

Dreaming was often looked upon by indigenous peoples as a way to commune directly with gods and spirits, and dreams are still used in this way by cultures around the world.  Many people believed, and some still do, that during dream sleep the soul leaves the body and communes with the spirit world.

The Chinese were one culture who believed that the soul left the body each night during dream sleep.  They believed that if the dreamer were suddenly awakened the soul may not be able to return to the body.  That is why some Chinese are still leery about the use of alarm clocks.  This is just one example of how ancient legends can linger into the modern world.

Some Mexican and Native American societies share this ancient view of the importance of dreams, and share the belief in a separate dimension that is visited during dream sleep.  These people believed that their departed ancestors lived in their dreams, and that they were able to take forms like animals and plants. Thus dreams were seen as a way for them to commune with their recent and ancient ancestors, and to gather wisdom and knowledge that would serve them in their waking lives.  Dreams were also seen as ways to gather information about their purpose or mission in life.

The respect for dreams changed radically early in the 19th century, and dreams in that era were often dismissed as reactions to anxiety, outside noises or even bad food and indigestion.  During this period of time, dreams were thought to have no meaning at all, and interest in dream interpretation all but evaporated.  This all changed, however, with the arrival of Sigmund Freud later in the 19th century.  Sigmund Freud stunned the world of psychiatry by stressing the importance of dreams, and he revived the once dead art of dream interpretation.

The History of Alchemy Explained

Alchemy, according to esoteric writers, is said to be the invention of an ancient Egyptian sage called Hermes Trismegistus. The "Father of Alchemy" lived in an unknown age of Egyptian history, though he is thought by some Rosicrucian schools to have lived during the time of Moses and the Exodus of the Israelites. If true, being an Initiate of the mysteries of Isis and Osiris, Moses must have been tutored by Hermes himself, which later enabled him to carry out his mission and to realize his I AM Presence symbolised by the burning bush. The various precepts and the Ten Commandments of the Lord of Hosts revealed to the Israelites by Moses are the first alchemical steps of purification and putrefaction. Further steps were later added to the Mosaic revelation by the Nazarene Master. Indeed, the Christ declared that he came not to abolish the previous revelation, but to fulfill it.

It is thought by some that "Hermes Trismegistus" constituted a title assumed by distinguished hierophants of the Mystery Schools, in a somewhat similar manner that Zoroaster, the founder of the "Fire Religion" is regarded by certain scholars. Incidentally, alchemy may also be considered a Fire Religion, or at least a philosophy, because of its symbology of fire related to the alchemical principles, its prerequisite in the art of transmutation, and to the respect and honor paid to it by alchemists.

Jewish mystics identify Hermes as the antediluvian prophet Enoch, or Idris, as the Muslims call him; while ancient Egyptians see Hermes as Thoth, the god of Wisdom, Learning, and Writing. He was given this apotheosis along with Imhotep, the great architect under the reign of King Zoser of the Fourth Dynasty. It would appear that both men were overshadowed by the archetypal figure of Thoth, and were acknowledged as such by both the inner and outer circles of initiates of the Mystery Schools. Thoth, or his Greek counterpart, Mercury, was a messenger of the gods; and as an archetypal incarnation of this god, Hermes lived up to his name by his literary productiveness. Ancient writers declared that the "Trice Greatest" wrote thousands of books on what later became known as Hermeticism and Alchemy. It is unfortunate that very little of Hermes' works survived the conflagration and destruction of libraries and books by Roman and Christian zeal in the early dawn of the Piscean Age. The world as a whole is still ignorant of the great loss, and it will take some time before the invocation is made by the masses for the Greater Light, for disclosure of eternal principles that would shine upon the paths of men, and consequently, for a full restoration and establishment of an occult library of the world, with an archive and database of every known system and tradition of the metaphysical side of life. Although little is known of Hermes, it is evident through the works attributed to him that he was an intermediary of the Wisdom Ray of the Supreme Being.

One of the most famed works on Hermetic doctrine written, and in concise form, is the Smaragdine Tablet attributed to the authorship of Hermes. Its discovery is traditionally believed to have been made by Alexander of Macedonia in a cave near Hebron. This conqueror of nations who had Aristotle for a Master, was in search of immortality. Although he failed to attain his personal immortality, Alexander did uncover a philosophical jewel that would have given him what he had sought if he had only applied the principles that the Emerald Tablet contained. Tradition relates that the Tablet was wrought out of artificial emerald, as a result of transmutation, with the Hermetic doctrine embossed on it.

Alchemy, as a philosophy and an art in the Western hemisphere in the past two millenia, existed concurrently in other ancient cultures and civilizations--it was practiced intensely by Hindu Yogis and Taoists, in India and China. This parallel growth is probably the result of the Great White Brotherhood's periodic presentation of a spiritual method designed for the development of certain types of temperaments and belief-framework of those aspirants belonging to a certain era and stage of mankind's collective evolution.

Based on this parallel growth of alchemy in the Orient and the regions of the Fertile Crescent suggested to some Esoteric historians that alchemy may have had a common origin in that sunken continent Atlan, or Atlantis, as it is more generally known. Esoteric Tradition declares that a handful of the Atlantean Root Race survived the submergence of the land and transmigrated to Egypt, China, and the Americas. It is reasonable to assume that they brought with them their sciences, art, and culture, which influenced the inhabitants indigenous to the regions where they settled. This would explain the similarities in the traditions and beliefs of native cultures to be found both East and West.

Principles of Alchemy are the principles that Nature herself works with, and thus alchemy, scientifically, existed in the inner planes long before it was brought down to the earth plane by Master teachers. A study of Nature's mysteries would reveal to the discerning student that the higher Intelligences, the Elohim, and the Great Architect of the Universe utilized alchemical principles to precipitate the starry bodies out of Chaos, out of Cosmic Root Substance or "Sunyata," as termed by the Buddhist. Qabalists believe that Adam was taught by the angels in Paradise the art of transmutation, to prepare him for his "Fall" and his climb back toward his Monad, toward godhood--his involution and evolution from a Divine Consciousness to Divine Self-Consciousness.

There is no general concurrence among scholars as to the origin of the word "alchemy." The consensus is that the word is derived from the word "Khem," the ancient name for Egypt, added to the Arabic article "al," meaning "the," thus forming the word "al-Khemy." However, Sir Wallis Budge is of the opinion that alchemy comes from the Egyptian word "khemein," meaning the "black powder" or "ore" which is presumed to be an ingredient in alchemy. No matter where it secured its name, the word "alchemy," it would seem, first came into prominence in the Mystery Schools in Alexandria.

The Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah

Remember the days when God committed genocide on his people because the liked putting things up their bums? Whatever happened to Sodom and Gomorrah?

What does the bible say about the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah? Why were Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed? What did they do wrong? All good questions and we shall examine them further in this article about he destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

The bible mentions two cities in the book of Genesis named Sodom and Gomorrah which were both destroyed by God in a hissy fit. Basically all the people of Sodom and Gomorrah (with the exception of Abraham's cousin Lot) were sinners who practiced homosexuality which apparently God doesn't like so he and decided to commit genocide on them.

Not cool God. Killing people and all that. Last time I checked that was against one of the Ten commandments. But of course God is well known for his love of Genocide, just look at that time he murdered every living person bar Noah and his sons...

The word Sodom is where we get the word sodomy from nowadays which describes and kind of lurid non vanilla sex type activities such as anal or oral sex, either homosexual or heterosexual, or sexual activity between a person and a non-human animal (bestiality).

The story of Lot is particularly telling. So Lot is Abraham's cousin who innocently lives in the city of Sodom and is spared by God from the fire and brimstone and destruction of these two cities. Two angels are sent ahead to warn him of the impending doom and destruction. He is billed as the 'hero' of the piece despite offering out his virgin daughters for a gang rape.

"Here, rape my virgin daughter instead!"

I was genuinely shocked and disgusted when I read this. This is real, its in your bible if you have one, please check it out. Its Genesis 19:21.

4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”

6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him 7 and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing. 8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.”

It seems that gayness is a worse sin than gang rape according to the bible. That can't be right. Two or more consenting men can do whatever they like in the privacy of their own home as long as nobody is forced to put anything in anywhere they don't want to! The bible is held up as a manual for how to live a decent life. Religious people tell us that without these ancient desert texts we would have no ethics or morals... yeah right.

I don't take my morals from a homophobic genocidal maniac and neither should you.

The Miracles of Mohammed PSYCHIC QURAN

What does the Quran say about psychics? We've looked before at the bibles teachings on the subject of psychic abilities and paranormal phenomena but what does Islam say about the paranormal?

We should start by noting that Islam is not that different from Christianity. The first five books of the old testament in the bible form the Jewish holy book: the Torah. If the new testament of Jesus Christ is the sequel to the Torah, the Quran is the final installment of the Abrahamic trilogy.

The reason I raise this point is that the teachings of the Quran include many of the same stories we have already examined. The prophets may have Arabic names, Abraham became Ibrahim for example,  but many of the examples of psychic phenomenon in the bible also occur in the Quran. Muslims, for example, also believe that Musa (Moses) parted the red sea, a story we are all familiar with from the book of Exodus.
The prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, was noted to have performed a number of miracles with a psychic flavour and it is these which we are now going to examine.

The first miracle we shall look at is one which is very familiar to many of us psions: weather manipulation. One day in the city of Medina the people challenged Mohammed to make it rain. The city was enduring a drought crisis and Medina is in the deserts of Saudi Arabia after all so rain isn't as common as it is in the northern hemisphere. "Tell your God to make it rain" the people demanded. And so he did. Clouds formed in the clear sky and rain fell. In fact so much rain fell on the city that it began to flood. "tell your God to stop the rain" the people  pleaded. And Mohammed (pbuh) moved the clouds to the outskirts of the city, over the farms where it would be most beneficial. Many people converted and followed the prophet from then on.

Weather control is a psychic ability many people are reported to possess. I. Myself, can cause clouds to disperse in an exercise commonly known as cloud busting. Focus on a cloud, preferably a smaller one and command it to disperse and it shall. Summoning clouds and rain in particular is very difficult and you can understand why so many people were impressed by this feat.

The next miracle of the prophet we shall examine is his reported ability to create water from his finger tips.

"I saw Allah's Apostle when the 'Asr prayer was due and the people searched for water to perform ablution but they could not find it. Later on (a pot full of) water for ablution was brought to Allah's Apostle . He put his hand in that pot and ordered the people to perform ablution from it. I saw the water springing out from underneath his fingers till all of them performed the ablution (it was one of the miracles of the Prophet)."

We could view this as a form of Hydrokinesis. Hydrokinesis is of course the psychical ability to manipulate liquid water. However in his case Mohammed (pbuh) was able to create water from nothing which is a much more difficult skill, one that I have not seen recreated.

Wow, just wow

The third and final miracle we will look at is truly incredible. We have really saved the best for last here. While the prophet was travelling trying to convince the people of Mecca to follow him he performed possibly the greatest miracle since the parting of the red sea: The prophet Mohammed split the moon in two.

"We were along with God's Messenger at Mina, that moon was split up into two. One of its parts was behind the mountain and the other one was on this side of the mountain. God's Messenger said to us: Bear witness to this"

Whether this is an example of Telekinesis or Lunarkinesis I am not so sure. Its quite a feat though and you can understand why so many pagans would convert to Islam after witnessing such a miracle.

Many poeple will argue that these miracles were not performed by the Prophet Mohammed at all. They will say that they are just allegorical stories exaggerated with each telling, like a game of chinese whispers. Other will say "No, these miracles were performed by Allah himself!". I don't know, you don't know, nobody really knows. Lets just sit back and admire the miracles.

CRYPTOZOOLOGY: The Kraken and other Sea Monsters

Human beings have discovered all the animals that exist right? No, wrong. There are new species being discovered in the Amazon and around the world every day. Cryptozoologists believe that there are still rare creatures yet to be found. For centuries the giant squid was believed to a mythical creature existing only in Greek legends and fisher mens tales. The sea could be home to some amazing things we are still yet to discover. There are thousands deep trenches under the sea that we have yet to fully explore, caverns so deep they reach pressures that would crush a human being alive.

These legends of giant sea beasts is a common theme running through all cultures, from the Leviathan mentioned in the bible right the way through to the modern day. In ye olde days crossing the sea was something that people had to do regularly, (not like these days where we can just get on a plane) it would have been a common experience for sailors, spice traders, pirate raiders and foreign invaders and other crusaders. The ancient Chinese believed in a fish that could leap over a waterfall and be transformed into a sea dragon. This is the legend which inspired the Magikarp pokemon.

Probably the most famous sea monster is the Kraken, a legendary giant sea creature which lives in the seas around Scandinavia. Kind of octopus like the Kraken can smash up and destroy ships with its enormous tentacles and should you be lucky enough not to be killed and eaten by the man eating creature itself it can also create whirlpools which can rip ships to shreds and suck you down to a watery death. In Greek legend the Kraken was one of the titans controlled by the god of the sea, Poseidon.

Release the Kraken!

What is the Megalodon? Well... Imagine a shark that is so enormous that he eats whales for dinner some reports quote the creature as over 20m in length. It is also known as the Megatooth shark because its of the sheer size and scariness of his teeth. The Megalodon was a prehistoric shark (Carcharocles megalodon) which many people believe could still exist in the present day. Its not unheard of for animals to have survived from that time period, there is evidence that this can happen: Reptiles like crocodiles and alligators were around in those days as well as many birds, insects and plant life. Some Cryptozoologists theorize that the Loch Ness monster could in fact be a left over from the time of dinosaurs.

There are two monsters or 'titans' which are repeatedly mentioned in the bible, these are the Leviathan and the Behemoth. The Book of Enoch explains which is which and where these monsters can be found on Earth. "And on that day were two monsters parted, a female monster named Leviathan, to dwell in the abysses of the ocean over the fountains of the waters. But the male is named Behemoth, who occupied with his breast a waste wilderness named Duidain." The leviathan is described in the Book of Job as a monster which no man could capture, with multiple limbs and a back covered with shields which no weapon could penetrate. Most impressively for a sea creature it can breathe fire! Satanists and Demonologists believe the Leviathan to be one of the princes of Hell.

Here's a curve ball. Mermaids are a type of sea monster too. When we think of mermaids we have this romantic image, we think of the little mermaid or splash because these are the images we are given by the media. Mermaids are ugly. How sexy can a fish woman be? I've seen photos of supposed mermaid corpses and I can tell you they are not a pretty sight!

Like we say, the Ocean is massive and we cannot possibly know about every thing that lives down there, life can change and evolve and there will always be new developments. Some of these may one day be proved not to exist or to exist and I'm sure that creatures we didn't expect to be proved real could be. I just shared with you some of my favorite cryptozoology creatures and cryptids and I would love to hear if you have anymore to add or any suggestions that should have made the list.

Investigating Psychic Yogis: Achieve Siddhi Conscioussness and UNLOCK PSYCHIC POWERS

Here in the West, J.B. Rhine and Karl Zener demonstrated the existence of Extrasensory Perception in the 1930s under laboratory conditions. However in the East, the gurus and mystics in far off lands such as India and China have possessed this knowledge for over a  thousand years.

The Psychic Investigations model requires that we study the processes and methods used by those who can demonstrate Psychical abilities. Whilst India was under British rule stories would flood back to England of these wise men in loin cloths with 'special abilities' such as levitation, clairvoyance and telekinesis. For hundreds of years these tales were told and the mystics gained great fame.

These mystical Yogis would meditate all day, for weeks, months, and even years in the forests or in the mountains, all in the quest to achieve what they called 'Siddhi Consciousness' or 'Siddhi Awareness'. Once this state was achieved the Yogis were able to demonstrate these extrasensory abilities. So, what is Siddhi Consciousness? How do I achieve Siddhi Consciousness? All great questions.

I think the answer lies in China. You see there is an incredible over lap in what the Indian and Chinese cultures believe about how the body works. For example Prana, the Indian word for internal energy or life force, is the same concept as the Chinese notion of Chi. An energy which flows through your Chakras (Indian) or Dantiens (Chinese) and can be harnessed through exercise and meditation. Whilst the Indians practice meditation to achieve this 'Siddhi Consciousness' the Chinese do it in the quest for Enlightenment. Could these two be the same thing?

Siddhi Consciousness is when all your energies are balanced and pure, when your third eye chakra has been fully opened and you are able to channel your energy in a way which allows you access to a higher realm of knowledge. You will be able to sense things you could not before, be in tune with the life force, know things you could not know and move matter with your mind.

The Gurus used Yoga as a way to meditate and regulate their energy flow. The positions they used in their exercises would unlock any issues and allow the Prana to flow freely through their body. The way in which you position your body has a direct effect on your brain chemistry and ergo your biological responses.

The Chinese use an exercise known as Qi Gong. This exercise is still practiced many millions of people in China who report great health benefits as well as spiritual ones. Qi Gong teaches you how to direct your psychic energy around your body using non strenuous exercise. Its very similar to Kung Fu or Tai Chi in a physical sense, yet like Yoga and mediation in a more esoteric way, both relaxing and spiritually rewarding.

My personal experience with Qi Gong has been very positive. I picked up a few moves from the great Ken Cohen and I use them daily in my routine. Qi Gong really helps with directing your energy before the release part in 'How to Develop Telekinesis: Lesson Two' where you actually knock over the target object. I know many of you have been struggling with the release part so I would suggest you practice some Qi Gong until you understand how to move the energy around in your body.

Please try this and leave a comment about how it made you feel!

On studying the Yogi phenomenon and the quest to achieve Siddhi consciousness I was reminded once again that meditation is an absolutey most important part of developing your mental abilities. Time and time again, each case we look at Meditation is a common denominator, from Edgar Cayces trance like visions, to Nostradamus scrying in a water bowl.

Is there a link between Telekinesis and the Devil? The occult and Satanism.

At least once a week somebody accuses me of worshiping the Devil.

Contrary to popular belief; I did not sell my soul in exchange for my psychic abilities. I do not have a deal with the devil, I'm not the Antichrist, nor a vampire, I've never sacrificed a virgin nor have I never danced naked under a full moon in some bizarre witchcraft type ceremony.

People often say to me "Oh, I want to learn telekinesis but don't want to worship the devil" well... good news.

Not only is Telekinesis, and the rest of the extrasensory spectrum, a learn able skill set that anybody can develop using the psychic investigations model, but that Satan is in no way involved. Also, more good news for people worried about a link between psychokinesis and the dark lord Lucifer: he doesn't actually exist.

I've dabbled in the occult, we've all used Ouija boards, pendulums, dowsing rods, all those paranormal tools. but I can assure you that devil worship is not necessary to learning telekinesis. That's not to say that if you are a satanist that you cannot learn TK! Head over to my forum, you're all welcome.

If you are interested in learning psychokinesis, if you want to be able to manipulate matter, to be able to move objects with the power of your mind, check out: http://psychicinvestigation.forumotion.com/t11-telekinesis-faq

HOW DO WE KNOW WHAT IS REAL?

Descartes: I think therefore I am.

How do we know what is real? How do we know that we are experiencing reality? Its a simple question and the simple answer is: We can see/feel/hear/smell and taste the environment and therefore what we are experiencing must be actual reality. But this is not so. Our senses lie to us in every moment of every day. You feel how the ground is steady? Well its not, its moving at thousands of miles and hour..

All the things which we SEE in the physical world are a translation, by our brains, of the sensory input received through the eyes. Vision is merely the interpretation of light touching the retina. The brain then decodes this information, flips the image the right way up and filters out anything it deems to be unimportant in that moment. This all happens instantly, its an incredible feat of human brilliance.

The famous philosopher Rene Descartes understood this and posed the following question: How do I know that I am not just a brain in a jar? His point being that electricity and therefore magnetism could be used to stimulate the brain in such a way that it could see things which are not there or be tricked into experiencing other sensory information. We've all seen the Matrix, its a similar question. How would you be able to determine if what you are experiencing is a real event or just a complex fabrication made by your own mind? Those of you who are apt at Lucid dreaming will have struggled with this question also. I have often been awake and had to question myself "is this real?" or "am I asleep?"

Do you actually see whilst astral projecting or do you just imagine moving? I would have to ask the question when you are imagining do you actually see? I know that I do for sure. Stop.

When you make a picture in your mind what happens to the rest of the room? I've had people angrily say at me "what are you looking at?" and I've been like huh? I was in a trance state and my eyes may have been pointing at them but my mind was off and away somewhere else. For years they've told you off for "day dreaming" but I ask you whats the difference? How do you know that what you're experiencing right now, sitting at your computer or on your phone reading every word of this, and then you swallow.

How do you know any of this is real?

All the stresses in your life, your boss, your teacher, your husband or wife, how do you know they are not all fabrications of your own mind? We know that the mind has the ability to do remarkable things like that, be it in a dream state or the Persinger god helmet.

Then after writing all of this I realized that we still, now some 400 years after Descartes still don't have a water tight answer to this question. So I put it to you, how do you know that you are alive and that you are experiencing reality at this moment?

What does the Bible say about Psychics?

Is being a Psychic a sin?

What does the bible have to say about psychics? Is practicing clairvoyance and psychic powers against Christianity? I get these kind of questions almost every day on my YouTube channel. People often accuse me of being a Satanist or say that I sold my soul to the devil for telekinesis powers. Contrary to popular belief I am not the Antichrist...

It is a sticky question though. Some people who believe in the baby Jesus have asked me whether training in telekinesis or clairvoyance is a sin. The bible doesn't really do much to answer this question. The are examples in the bible where psychic powers are used by the 'heroes', the prophets, gods chosen ones or whatever and are lauded as miracles.

One of the earliest mentioned in the bible is the story of a man named Saul who visited a spirit medium in order to contact the deceased former King Samuel. His advisers found him a woman medium who was able to summon the spirit of Samuel and communicate with him 'on the other side'. She was able to relay information from one to the other.

Or Joseph, who had what was known as a dream coat. In the story there are many examples of Joseph experiencing precognitive dreams and being able to predict the future. In his dream state he was able to see clues regarding the future. Some times these came in an abstract form and needed to be deciphered. His precognitive dreams included one showing the sun, moon, and eleven stars bowing down to him. He later went on to become a chief adviser for the Pharaoh of Egypt of that time.

Yet there are parts where it damns those who practice the occult:

“Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God."
Leviticus 19:31

“If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people."
Leviticus 20:6

“A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.”
Leviticus 20:27

As with many things the bible seems a little confused on the subject. When Jesus speaks to the astrally projected souls of the prophets, Moses and Abraham it is a miracle. Yet when a man in a hole in the desert does it its a sin and he will burn in hell forever and die a millions deaths over and over again blah blah blah. You know.

So draw your own conclusion...

Edgar Cayce

“Dreams are today's answers to tomorrow's questions.”
-Edgar Cayce

Edgar Cayce was an American psychic, in the in the late 1800s and early 1900s, who allegedly possessed the ability to answer questions on subjects as varied as healing and wars, and had visions of the world ending.

He would famously lie at the bottom of his bed in a "hypnotic like state" and dictate his prophecies. It was done in such a fashion because Cayce said he generally would not remember what he had said while in this state. His predictions are numerous and many of his prophecies have been exacted.

Some of his predictions are wild and yet still to occur, such as the recovery of the lost city of Atlantis, that information as to the whereabouts of the lost continent could be found in a secret compartment under the foot of the Sphinx in Egypt. Cayce also claimed a golden city would be discovered in the Gobi desert, with lifts, escalators and electric cars no less.

We know from case studies of the other great psychics from history including, Helena Blavatsky and Michel de Nostradame, that trance work was used in their prophecies. In this trance like state Cayce was able to access the 'Akashic records' and reveal information from anywhere in the universe at any point in time. The Akashic record is described as containing all knowledge of human experience and all experiences as well as the history of the cosmos encoded or written in the very aether or fabric of all existence. The records, or The Book of Life in the Bible, are metaphorically on a non-physical plane described as a library.

So the big question for us now is how did Cayce enter this trance like state? how was he able to access the Akashic record and see into the past and/or future? how do we go about replicating this and doing it now today in our own homes?

Famous Psychics from History

In this article we are going to look at some of the most famous psychics that have ever lived. History is littered with famous psychics and stories about people with psychic powers can be found in a wide variety of cultures around the world. From ancient Babylon, Egypt, and Greece to Aborigines, Native Americans and Haitian Voodoo we can find stories of psychic feats from people who can see the future to people who can speak to the dead.

One of the earliest mentioned can be found in the bible. The story tells of a man named Joseph, who had what was known as a dream coat.

In fact the bible has many references to psychics, for example Saul visited a spirit medium in order to contact the deceased former King Samuel. His advisers found him a woman medium who was able to summon the spirit of Samuel and communicate with him 'on the other side'. She was able to relay information from one to the other.

Psychics can also be found in ancient Greek literature, such as the story of Cassandra. She was a beautiful woman who refused the have sex with the God Apollo. He then cursed her with the ability to see the future. She foresaw the destruction of Troy (she warned the Trojans about the Trojan Horse, the death of Agamemnon, and her own demise.) However she was unable to do anything to forestall these tragedies since no one believed her prophecies.

In those days Psychics were a lot more respected than they are these days and often found themselves in import roles in the society. Nostradamus, the French clairvoyant was also an official adviser to Queen Catherine de Medici and famously told the queen that all of her sons would be kings but that she would herself outlive them all. This turned out to be true in every case but one.

Another famous psychic from history is Clairvoyant and spiritualist medium Madame Helena Blavatsky. Born in 1831 in Soviet Russia, Blavatsky after traveling the world, would eventually go on to establish a research and publishing institute called the Theosophical Society. Blavatsky defined Theosophy as "the archaic Wisdom-Religion, the esoteric doctrine once known in every ancient country having claims to civilization." She gained fame as spirit medium who was able to connect to the spirit realm and relay information from the other side. This included a bold prediction that the atom could be split, a theory widely lampooned in her time.

The final Psychic we are going to take a look at in this article is Nina Kulagina, she rather than helping a royal figure found her self working with the Soviet Union and the KGB. During the Cold War, silent black-and-white films of Russian psychic Nina Kulagina performing feats of telekinesis, appearing to move objects on a table with her mind, were produced. The film was recorded under controlled conditions by Soviet authorities. She's pretty bad ass and once she stopped the beating heart of a frog. Damn. That's against the second rule of Telekinesis. Never use your powers on living creatures!

There are countless examples of Famous psychics in history. As long as people have been writing they have been recording the accounts of mystics, soothsayers and prophets. From ancient Egypt to the modern day the ability to communicate with the other side and to see into the future has fascinated all of us.

Nostradamus Clairvoyance Prophecies and Predictions

We ask the question who is Nostradamus? Well, Michel de Nostradame, as he was actually known is a French clairvoyant and one of the most famous psychics in history. Living in France during the 16th century he gained fame through his 'quatrains' a series of prophetic visions (obtained through a method known as scrying, but that's another story.) He was able to induce a deep trance like state and make predictions about future events, including the fall of Napoleon, Hurricane Katrina and many more...

Lets take a closer look at some of Nostradamus quatrains; his prophecies.

Death of Diana
The penultimate of the surname of Prophet
Will take Diana for his day and rest:
He will wander because of a frantic head,
And delivering a great people from subjection.

Assassination of JFK
The great man will be struck down in the day by a thunderbolt,
An evil deed foretold by the bearer of a petition.
According to the prediction, another falls at night time.
Conflict at Reims, London and a pestilence in Tuscany.

World War II
From the depths of the West of Europe,
A young child will be born of poor people,
He who by his tongue will seduce a great troop;
His fame will increase towards the realm of the East.

Nuclear Attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki
Near the gates and within two cities
There will be scourges the like of which was never seen,
Famine within plague, people put out by steel,
Crying to the great immortal God for relief.

September 11th
Earthshaking fire from the center of the Earth
Will cause tremors around the New City.
Two great rocks will war for a long time,
Then Arethusa will redden a new river.

It certainly makes for gloomy reading doesn't it? What do you think? You might notice some of these to be accurate in their description. Nostradamus recorded hundreds and hundreds of psychic clairvoyant predictions, many of which are still yet to occur including the end of the world! Nostradamus predicts that the world will end in the year 3797 when we shall all be crushed by the apocalypse.

Franz Mesmer: Using Mesmerism for Telekinesis.

In this article we will examine the work of Franz Mesmer. A German physician, living in France, Mesmer caused quite a sensation in the 18th century, with his theories about "Animal Magnetism". So much so  that the English word "mesmerize" is actually derived from his name. The French were rocked by his theory and even King Louis XVI ordered an investigation after claims he cured a woman of blindness.

The theory of animal magnetism goes something like this "that there exists a natural energetic transference all animated and inanimate objects". He demonstrated that this energy could be manipulated. spiritualism, New Thought, "magnetic healing", and parapsychological research.

We can use Mesmer's work help understand our how to use our psychic powers. Think about it if a transference of energy from an animated object, You, can be passed on to an inanimate one, say a coin or a spoon, then isn't that Telekinesis?

That is how you move objects with your mind. You focus on the energy flow in your body and build it up until you eventually release it at a target.

What do I think of while trying to move objects with my mind? I sense you are asking. Well its interesting at this should bring us straight back to Mesmer and "mesmerism". You see Mesmer also discovered an unknown state of consciousness, that he called "magnetic sleep". A semiconscious state, between sleeping and waking, a detachment from your physical surroundings, similar to those recorded in meditation.

Many famous psychics from history are known to induce trance like states such as Edgar Cayce and Nostradamus to name but two. The key to accessing your psychic powers is in entering this semiconscious state. Far off monks up in the Himalayas have been doing it for centuries!

Just ten minutes a day doing this will help you clear your mind. Even if you don't want to develop psychic powers you should still take this time out in your life. Detach yourself from your surroundings and try and tap into the interconnected oneness of everything. It will make you feel better in your life, healthier and more focused.
